Sautéed Green Beans with Ginger

  • 2 lbs fresh green beans, washed, ends broken off and discarded
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. fresh ground ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp Bragg’s
  • Water as needed

Sauté garlic at medium-high until just starting to brown.

Add beans and stir. Continue sauteing, stirring when necessary to prevent garlic burning.

Add Bragg’s when the garlic starts to stick.

Cook 2-3 minutes at medium-high heat.

Add ginger, stir thoroughly.

Let simmer for a couple minutes, until the Bragg’s is almost completely evaporated.

Stir, continue cooking another minute or two.

Once the mixture starts to stick to the pin even while stirring, add 1/4 C. water, stir thoroughly, drop to medium heat and cover.

Steam the mixture for five minutes, checking periodically for tenderness and adding more water as needed, until the beans are tender. Once the beans are tender, remove from heat and serve warm.
